From 22 to 23 October 2025, project partners, local stakeholders, and experts from the South Baltic region gathered in Vordingborg, Denmark, for the Mid-Term Conference and Synergy Meeting of the Interreg South Baltic projects INCONE60Green, PortSHAZ, and DigiTechPort2030. The event centred on exchanging ideas about digitalisation, sustainability, and the future of small and medium-sized ports in the region.
The two-day programme featured presentations on topics such as offshore wind energy, maritime security, and smart port development, along with excursions to Klintholm Harbour and the Port of Vordingborg.
Hochschule Wismar was represented by Dr. Laima Gerlitz and Alina Buddensiek from the European Project Centre (EPC). Alongside partners from Sweden (Blekinge Institute of Technology), Poland (Szczecin University of Maritime Technology), and the Port of Elbląg, they contributed to the interdisciplinary dialogue on how innovation and cooperation can drive transformation in the maritime sector.
Such events highlight the importance of cross-border collaboration and digital innovation for the sustainable future of the maritime economy.
