Bachelor degree

With a Bachelor's degree, you hold your first professional qualification in your hand after 3 years. Afterwards you can apply for various challenging and interesting jobs, or gain additional expert knowledge with a Master's degree.


Master degree

Would you like to gain additional qualifications after a Bachelor's degree and earn up to 30% more salary with your degree after approx. 1 1/2 years when you begin your career? Or would you like to lay the foundation for your further academic path with your Master's degree? Choose from a variety of interesting specialisations in our Master's programme, regardless of whether you want to apply for a job or start your PhD.

Money is not everything in life. But you will need money later for rent, heating costs, electricity and many other things. Employees with an academic degree earn an average of €5,265 gross per month. Employees who have completed vocational training, on the other hand, earn € 3,300.

Is it possible to study in English?

Yes, Wismar UAS offers degree programmes in English.

At our faculty you can study the Master in International Management full-time and completely in English.

What language level do I need to have in order to study other degree programmes?

Most of the degree programmes at our university and faculty are offered exclusively in German.
For enrolment in one of these full-time degree programmes, proof of language level C1 in German is required.

Are there other options like exchange programmes?

In addition to full-time study, Wismar UAS also offers the option of exchange semesters. Likewise, we offer a preparatory course for students who would like to study full-time, but who, for example, have acquired a first university degree with "only" 180 ECTS instead of the needed 210 ECTS for a Master´s programme.

How long does the application process take?

If you submit your application with all the required documents by the application deadline, it will first be checked for completeness.

After the application deadline, it usually takes two to four weeks until you receive a response to your application. If any documents are missing, you will receive a reply in the meantime.

Please do not ask about the status of your application by e-mail during the application period. We will contact you.

Is it very expensive to study in Germany?

This depends on several factors. First of all, it depends on whether you come from a country of the European Union or from another country.

Wismar UAS is a state university, which means that unlike private universities, we do not charge tuition fees. However, you do pay a contribution to our student bodies and the Studierendenwerk every semester.
