The DIGI4all Hackathon brought together young participants from regional vocational schools to develop digital solutions for social inclusion and sustainability.
Dr Laima Gerlitz from Wismar University acted as a mentor to the “SMARTPark” team, which developed a smart parking concept for the port city of Klaipėda. The team came second in the expert jury’s vote and third in the public vote.
Another opportunity to get involved is the international “Porthaton 2026”, which will take place in Klaipėda from 25 to 27 September 2026.
The focus will be on topics such as safe navigation, AI, resilient ports and the circular economy in the maritime sector.
If you have any enquiries regarding Porthaton 2026, please contact Dr Laima Gerlitz.
