Professor Dr. Jaroslav Dvorak from Klaipeda University and Svetlana Saidensal, project manager and research associate at the European Project Center at Hochschule Wismar, met at the end of May in Klaipeda to discuss the ongoing implementation of the D-effect Project.
The meeting focused on reviewing the current progress of Work Package 2 – that will build the strategy fundaments for the youth festivals developed during the project. „Our meeting included the evaluation of completed tasks, identification of challenges, and setting priorities for the upcoming phase“, so Svetlana Saidensal. The participants agreed on the next steps, clarified partner responsibilities and internal deadlines. Coordination mechanisms and opportunities for institutional knowledge exchange were also discussed.
The D-effect project promotes the cooperation of youth-oriented stakeholders in the South Baltic Area and contributes to building the problem-solving capabilities of stakeholders from Sweden, Danmark, Germany, Poland and Lithuania. Thus, it adds a new element to capabilities of better youth participation, engagement, and increased education of democratic values that can make local societies more sustainable and resilient and the entire region a more youth-friendly place.
