Final Conference in CTCC project

The three-and-a-half-year project "CTCC - Creative Traditional Companies Cooperation" is coming to an end. On January 12, 2021, the final conference of the project took place online. More than 70 interested entrepreneurs, academics and policy makers from the cultural, creative, cross-innovation, maritime and sustainable sectors came together to share the benefits and potentials of cross-innovation and cross-sector cooperation for Blue and Green growth in the region and the EU, as well as to make plans for the future. The event was followed on Facebook by more than 300 interested parties.

The conference was introduced by an interactive musical contribution by Lithuanian activist and musician Jurgis Didziulis, who has performed twice for Lithuania in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest with the band. This was followed by the presentations of the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from the region "Southern Baltic" (Germany, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden) with the presentation and discussion of their prototypes in the branches of blue and green economy. The development of 33 innovative prototypes in the economic branches of maritime transport, maritime and land tourism, sustainable mobility, wind and solar energy is considered the core of the CTCC project, which together with a total of 10 partners from Germany, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden successfully supported local and regional companies in building their innovation capacity and during the 17-month prototyping phase.

Although the project ends on June 30, 2021, the project partners have firmly decided to continue to work together on this topic across borders and soon again with the help of EU funding, concretely and purposefully support regional SMEs with creative methods and tools in innovation development, which will have to find new ways, especially in the post-Covid-19 economy.
