Prof. Dr Volker Grienitz spoke on NDR about qualified workers, digitalisation, AI and collaboration between universities and industry.

Prof. Dr Volker Grienitz from Wismar Business School, appeared as a guest on the NDR’s ‘Talk im Funkhaus’ programme in Schwerin on 8 September 2026. The discussion centred on skills shortages, bureaucracy, energy and AI. Grienitz emphasised the regional responsibility of universities in digitalisation and securing a skilled workforce, as well as their role as partners for businesses and schools. With regard to research and development, he called for improved framework conditions to facilitate collaboration between universities and businesses.
