University team visits the University of Trieste

Discussions on Erasmus partnerships and projects in the maritime and creative industries.

Prof. Achim Hack from the Faculty of Design, along with Prof. Gunnar Prause and Dr Laima Gerlitz (both from Wismar Business School), visited the University of Trieste on 8 May 2026.

Discussions focused on Erasmus partnerships, project collaborations and shared areas of interest such as the cultural and creative industries, business modelling and blue growth. 
The guests were also given a tour of the University of Trieste’s shipbuilding laboratories.

The exchange strengthened international cooperation between the two universities and opened up prospects for future teaching and research collaborations.
