On 6 June 2026, the Wismar Business School at Wismar University of Applied Sciences and WINGS GmbH bid farewell to their graduates during a formal graduation ceremony held at St. Georgen’s Church in Wismar.

Dean Prof. Dr Kai Neumann led the proceedings. Rector Prof. Dr Bodo Wiegand-Hoffmeister and the Mayor of the Hanseatic City of Wismar, Thomas Beyer, also addressed the graduates with words of congratulations. Prof. Dr Ali Arnaout congratulated the international graduates in English. As a WINGS graduate, Ms Kinzner-Kietz addressed her fellow students with a speech entitled “We’ve done it”.

During the event, Prof. Dr Mönch-Kalina was also honoured and bid farewell for her many years of commitment to both face-to-face and online teaching.

In a moment of silence, the faculty also paid tribute to their colleague Prof. Dr Johann Bachner, who passed away last year and who had helped shape the academic development of WINGS over many years.

Wismar Business School and WINGS warmly congratulate all graduates on the successful completion of their studies and wish them all the best for their future professional and personal journeys.
