EPC at a summer school in Kazakhstan

The European Project Centre contributed its expertise in sustainable regional development to an international summer school in Astana.

Prof. Dr Gunnar Prause and PhD student Svetlana Saidensal from the European Project Centre took part in a summer school at Seifullin University in Astana from 15 to 19 June 2026. During an international hackathon, they worked with students to develop concepts for the sustainable development of Burabay National Park, drawing on their experience from the EU project Back2Woods. The results were discussed with the park management. Furthermore, plans were made for further collaboration between the universities.
