On 20 April 2023, Prof. Dr. Maaser had planned a special day in Hamburg with students from the Digital Logistics and Management Master's programme. The group had the opportunity to get to know two important areas of the logistics industry at once.

The first point on the programme was a tour to the European logistics centre of the company Reyher, where the managing director Dr. Bielert presented the company and the business model. Afterwards, the logistics manager explained the warehouse and picking logistics and guided the group through the warehouse.

The group then visited the Hamburg container terminals Burchardkai and Altenwerder, where they gained insights into port logistics and container handling. The fully automated container warehouse in Altenwerder was particularly impressive.

The students of the Master's programme Digital Logistics and Management were thrilled by the day in Hamburg. The tours of the two logistics areas were not only instructive, but also exciting and practical.
